General Information
ARTWORK
All catalog pricing is based upon customer supplying color-separated, production-ready art. All composition and artwork accomplished at our factory will be billed at cost upon notification. Production ready artwork may be sent to us via email to artwork@jayplastics.com. Please note your company name and PO# in the subject line. If your files are too large for email, you can mail us a CD/DVD or upload via FTP. If uploading via FTP, please notify us accordingly.
Vector art is preferred. Clean, production-ready artowrk is best. Imprint size and location must be provided.
Fonts should be converted to paths, outlines, or curves. If they cannot be converted, please include the fonts with your artwork. Acceptable font formats are DFont, Multiple Master, Opentype, Postscrept Type 1, and TrueType.
Artwork is accepted in Adobe Illustrator saves as .eps or .ai files or Adobe Photoshop and InDesign. If your image has bleeds, we require a minimum of .1875" extra for best results.
You may also have your artwork prepared by us for $75.00(G) per hour, billed in 30 minute increments.
PRODUCTION
Production Time:
Our normal production time is 12-15 business days. Ideally we try to meet these times. However, we are a custom manufacturer and dates are subject to change. We must be notified within 24 hours of receiving the order if you have a specific event date.
Rush Orders:
Every effort will be made to accommodate rush orders. All rush orders must be pre-approved. The fee for rush orders is $150.00(G), and air shipment must be authorized. Purchase orders must state "RUSH" status.
Over-Runs and Under-Runs:
Orders are subject to 10% overs/unders on the quanitity ordered and invoices reflect the actual quantity shipped. Orders requiring exact quantity will be charged 8% in addition to the unit cost.
Changes or Cancellations:
Changes to orders may be made at no additional charge prior to proof approval. Once production begins, changes will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
In the event that an order myst be cancelled, all costs incurred up to that point will be billed. This may include art time, die charges, and material.
All changes and/or cancellations must be received in writing.
Less Than Minimum:
Orders for less than catalog quantity are available. Less than minimum pricing applies and varies per product. Please call for your quote. The minimum invoice amount for a less than minimum order is $100.00.
Merchandise Returns:
Returns accepted only with written authorization from the factory. Any claims must be presented in writing within 30 days of shipment.
SHIPPING
Packaging:
Orders are packaged according to our standard packaging methods. In the event your order requires specific packaging, it must be clearly stated on the PO. Orders with specific packaging instructions are subject to additional charges. Please be aware that this may add to the published lead times.
Shipping Methods:
All merchandise is shipped F.O.B. our factory via the best available route, taking into consideration the speed of delivery and cost. Shipments under 500 lbs. are normally made via United Parecel Service. Shipments of 500 lbs. or more are shipped via truck prepaid unless otherwise specified.
If routing or carrier is not specified, we cannot be held responsible for any extra charges involved if method selected by factory is not the cheapest. We can only assure date of shipment, but cannot be held responsible for arrival date.
Freight Claims:
Since we are not listed as the shipper, we cannot file claims for merchandise lost or damaged in transit. Only the distributor (shipper) can file the claim. All merchandise should be inspected upon arrival. If damage is found, contact carrier immediately for inspection. We will gladly supply copies of documents and assist with your claim wherever possible.
UPS Claims:
We will provide prompt assistance on all claims for lost or damaged merchandise.
Split Destination Shipments:
A charge of $9.00(G) will be added for each address beyond the first address listed. Shipments made on differnt days will also be subjec to a $9.00(G) charge. All orders are invoiced at the time of the first shipment.
Postal Shipments/Foreign Shipments:
For Parcel Post, Express Mail, Priority Mail or Foreign Shipments, add $25.00 (G) for special handling.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Blank Items:
All of our catalog items are available blank at next column pricing. Minimum is half of the first column price.
Samples/Catalogs
Random samples and swatch samples, if in stock, are available at no charge. Send sample requests to samples@jayplastics.com with purchase order number if applicable. A shipper number must be provided to cover the cost of fright. Pre-production sales vary per item; please contact our customer service department.
Catalogs are available upon requst.
Confirmation of Orders:
All orders and imprint copy must be in writing. Verbal orders will not be processed for production until confirmed. An order confirmation will be sent for each order placed. Orders will only be accepted from qualified distributors.
Intermediate Quantities:
Will be billed at lower quantity unit costs.
Material Colors:
Material colors in the catalog do not represent actual colors. If you are unsure of the color, contact a customer service representative for a swatch to be sent.
Fulfillment:
Fulfillment services are available. This allows you to get the larger quantity pricing and ship as needed rather than all at once. Please contact customer service and JP will get you headed on the right path. Turnaround time on fulfillment items is normally two business days. Web access is provided to track inventory and schedule releases.
Effective Date of Catalog:
Prices in this catalog are effective as of October 1, 2011, and supersede all previous catalogs and price lists. All prices and specifications are subject to change without notice.
